Welcome
W.E.E. Serve Youth is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering Black youth through mentorship, community-building, and exposure to opportunities that foster personal and professional growth. Our initiatives include sports that promote teamwork, discipline, and leadership while creating a sense of brotherhood among participants. Through one-on-one mentorship, we guide young people to navigate challenges, set goals, and build confidence in their abilities. In addition, we provide access to a wide range of experiences and ideas that may not be readily available to them, helping to unlock their potential and broaden their horizons. At W.E.E., we are committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders and creating lasting positive change in our community.
W.E.E. has done some positive stuff for me and my friends, it’s an amazing basketball league where we can go to create friendships on and off the court. Somewhere you can go on to be competitive and stay productive during the weekend. A place where if you have problems you can always talk to one of the staff. Overall, the programs at WEE have been like a brotherhood, full of good people and vibes.
I initially joined the WEE family in 2021 through the KBA league where I’ve played 3 seasons and counting. I’m now an engineering student at York University and the president of the Somali Student Association. I can honestly say the advice and positive role models on display at WEE have inspired me to give back to my community in as many ways as I can. Which is why I volunteer to mentor some of the youth on the weekends.
WEE has been a very great addition to me and my friend’s lives. They provide a weekend league for us to play in instead of hanging around bad company. The basketball league is based not just around basketball, but also around brotherhood. They teach us great values like respect and honesty on top of improving our skills in basketball. Overall the We Serve Youth Organization is a great program that has a positive effect on all our lives.
I am currently a college student at Humber College and WEE Serve Youth helped me connect with different people which helped me pick out my program today. I volunteer as a basketball coach now every week as a way to pay it forward to the next generation.
